Cam Newton Opens Up About His 7 Children In An Emotional Post
October 3, 2020
Cam Newton is a very famous and talented NFL player. A quarterback for the New England Patriots, he began his career in 2011 when he was selected by the Carolina Panthers. He went on to win the NFL MVP in 2015 with the Panthers but was released by the team earlier this year. That’s how he got to New England.
Newton is not really one to talk about his private life that much. Earlier this year, he separated with his longtime girlfriend Kia Proctor despite fathering four children with her. Proctor is actually a dancer under the name ‘Hazel’ at Washington DC Stadium Club, a strip club in Washington, D.C. The two met when Proctor was still stripping but she later started a modeling career.
Newton and Proctor started dating in 2013 and first appeared together in public at the Kentucky Derby. They also made an appearance at the 3rd Annual NFL Honors in New York City in 2014 and began to start a family the following year.
The couple welcomed their first child the day before Christmas in 2015, a son named Chosen Sebastian Newton. When talking about his first child, Newton said: “Your mom is the best thing to happen to me. Yet I have failed in some regards. But I still love her unconditionally.”
At the moment, Newton is a proud father of seven children. When talking about all of them, he explained just how happy he is to be a father to them:
“I’m a proud father of seven. A daddy isn’t defined as the man who makes the child (not an all instances) but rather a MAN who extends his hands and time to help with the child’s raising and his heart to LOVE the child through anything! Blood doesn’t always make you DADDY being a dad comes from the heart. Anybody can make a baby but it takes a real man to raise a child!”
