Rumors: New England Patriots Reportedly Going For Cam Newton

The Carolina Panthers decided to part ways with their longitme quarterback Cam Newton earlier this year. Even though Newton is considered one of the better quarterbacks in the league, he is still unable to find a new starting job and by the looks of it, he won’t be getting one anytime soon.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the New England Patriots are most likely to give Newton a chance. They recently posted this:

Tom Brady, who spent his entire 20-season career playing for the New England Patriots, decided it was time for a change earlier this year. He took a job with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers only a few days after free agency started. Ever since that move happened and Newton got released from Caroline, everyone has been saying that the Patriots should reach out to Newton. However, it looks like the Patriots are really not interested in such a move.

At the moment, the Patriots have Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer at the quarterback position. Even though Hoyer is a veteran, second-year quarterback Stidham is expected to get the starting job. Should things don’t work out with him, the Patriots are likely to move on to Hoyer or maybe even sign someone else.

There will be quite a lot of pressure on Stidham in the next season. He didn’t play that much last season, and he really isn’t a show-stopper. However, he will have to do the best with what he has and that is great coaches and great teammates. If all goes well, he could be the next face of the franchise.

There’s still a few months left before the start of the 2020 NFL season. We can’t wait to see what happens when the players return to the fields. It’s going to be a season for the books and you won’t want to miss it!
