Take A Look: The Patriots Bid Farewell To Dorsett, A Persistent Smiler, In A New Tribute Video

Phillip Dorsett played three seasons with the New England Patriots and left a great impression on the team and their fans during that time.

Throughout the past three seasons, we saw Dorsett win over the trust of quarterback Tom Brady and become one of his best targets on the field. Unfortunately, Dorsett was cut from the team and has already signed a new deal to continue his career in Seattle. Earlier this week, the Patriots shared a tribute video for Dorsett and it is honestly one of the most emotional things we have seen. Take a look:

As mentioned before, Dorsett will continue his career in Seattle as he signs a new, one-year deal with the Seahawks. He already said that he is very excited to be playing with the Seahawks, especially because of quarterback Russell Wilson:

“That’s one of the biggest reasons why I decided to come. Obviously, with NFL League Pass, I’ve taken advantage of watching some of the games from last year and I could see Russell dropping dimes. Just the off-schedule timing of it. He can extend plays, and that gives us a chance to make a move and get downfield. I’m excited and I can’t wait to get into it.”

He also said that he has already talked with Wilson and coach Pete Carroll, and praised the team culture that contributed to his decision to sign with the team:

“Everything was positive. You could just tell they just like to have fun out there. It’s just something you want to be a part of. In their voices, they sounded genuine in how they really wanted to be a part of it. I felt like it was something I didn’t want to turn down.”

He finished off by saying that he can be a positive contributor as a route runner.
