Tom Brady Commands Julian Edelman To Get Back To The East Coast So They Can Throw

Tom Brady and Julian Edelman have played together for years. Edelman was a draft pick for the New England Patriots in the 2009 NFL Draft. By that time, Brady was already with the team. The two players quickly become great friends off the field and managed to create a connection on the field as well.

This offseason, things could change for these two. Brady is set to become a free agent in March while Edelman is still under contract with the Patriots. We’d hate to see them play on different teams, but that’s a big possibility at this point. However, that didn’t stop Brady from asking his favorite receiver to start working out for the upcoming season. Edelman posted this earlier this week:

Brady went in the comments to write: “Get back to the east coast so we can throw.”

Does this mean that Brady has in mind where he wants to continue his career? Even if that’s the case, he doesn’t seem to want to share with fans any of his plans for the future. Shortly after the team’s final game of the season, Brady told reporters:

“I can only say how I feel, and that’s what’s the truth to me and what’s authentic to me. And I have no decision that I have made, and there won’t be for some considerable time. So I know there is speculation; there always is. That’s just part of being in professional sports; that’s part of being a professional athlete.

“When people aren’t talking about this season, they want to talk about next season, and the reality is that next season is quite a ways away. I have some other things that are happening at this time. Like I said, spending some time with my family, my loved ones and giving them the time they need. And then as people begin to plan for next season, like I said, these things will take care of themselves.”
