Three Players That Need To Be Better If The Patriots Want To Have Sustained Success

Everyone is used to seeing the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl year after year. Unfortunately, a very successful season this year ended without a trip to the biggest game of the year. The reason for that was all the players that didn’t play at their full potential. These players need to step up if they want to help their team win it all next season.

So, who are the players that fans should expect more from next season? Well, for starters we have wide receiver N’Keal Harry. He spent some of his rookie season on the sideline with injuries but still showed that he could be very contributional to the team when he’s healthy. Harry had a swell rookie season with 12 catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns. He will need to step up if he wants to stay with the team long-term.

Then, we have linebacker Ja’whaun Bentley. With 44 tackles last season, he really proved that he can be something else. To be honest, some of the key defensive players are getting older and some of them might even leave the team this offseason. Bentley is athletic and needs to put that out on the field. The best thing for him will be to practice on his coverage since linebackers are now becoming more than just tacklers.

Last but not least, we have running back Sony Michel. In his first season with the team, he amazed everyone as he made the team’s running game stronger than it was in many years. However, last season, he was not the same player as he ran the ball 247 times for 912 yards and seven touchdowns. At times, he looked decisive and ready to run but most of the time, he couldn’t get an opening. He needs to work on that in the upcoming period.
