There’s not much that can get under Tom Brady’s skin when he’s out on the field. He always seems calm and collected, focused only one the game and getting his team to another win. But Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones has shared details about that one time he was able to get the worst out of Brady.
Back in Week 14, the Chiefs brought Brady down with a sack and that gave Jones a chance to exchange a few words with the quarterback. The two bumped facemasks and exchanges some unpleasantries. When talking about this, Jones explained:
“You gotta understand — I talk a lot of [expletive] on the field. That was the first time I’ve ever seen Tom Brady get mad at a defensive lineman, when I talked [expletive] to him.”
So, what did Jones do? Well, he said this happened:
“That’s part of the game, man. I feel like especially quarterbacks … you know, quarterbacks and D-line, that’s two different types of class. So when you’re able to clash up, you talk your [expletive]. You say how you feel to him. If he on the ground, you call him an old-[expletive] mother [expletive] . Or, ‘Get your old [expletive] up.’ [Or], ‘You need to [expletive] retire.’ So any time I’m able to say anything to a quarterback after I hit him – I don’t even have to hit you. I’ll just come to you and talk [expletive].”
Was that what he said to Brady? Jones said:
“I mean, along those words. And Brady got up so [expletive] fast, that’s the quickest I’ve ever seen Brady move.”
Brady doesn’t really give in these kinds of situations too often. He focused on what’s important and that’s getting the football in the endzone. He’s been quite good at it and we can’t wait to see him back on the field.
