Eddy Curry’s Heartbreaking Tragic Life Story

Eddy Curry is a professional basketball player for the Zhuhai Wolf Warriors of the ASEAN Basketball League. He used to play in the NBA, as he was drafted 4th overall in 2001 by the Chicago Bulls. He played for the Bulls, the New York Knicks, won one championship title with the Miami Heat and spent time with the Dallas Mavericks.

Curry has been in the headlines recently for all the wrong reasons. He has lived through the death of his ex-girlfriend along with the child, sexual harassment and financial problems. The one thing that has kept him going is his family and his many children.

Curry has eight children: Ava Curry, Reigan Curry, Noah Curry, Eddy Curry III, Brandi Curry, Reign Curry, Reiganna Curry, Reidan Curry. He is currently married to VH1’s Basketball Wives LA franchise star Patrice Curry. Together, they have four children.

Back in 2008, Curry lost his ex-girlfriend and infant daughter. They were killed by a Chicago attorney named Frederick Goings who showed no reaction when the jury read out the verdict in the January 2009 shooting deaths of Nova Henry, 24, and her and Curry’s 10-month-old daughter, Ava.

Also in 2009, Cury was accused of trying to solicit sex from is former chauffeur, David Kuchinsky. After the lawsuit was looked over, a judge dismissed it on May 28, 2009, and sent it to arbitration.

But let’s look at his current marriage. According to reports, Patrice is the mother to four of Curry’s children, a legal guardian to her teenage sister Brandi, and is a stepmom to Curry’s 3 children from previous relationships. It was not always easy for her, as she shared in 2010 that she was feeling depressed by her situation:

“I’m on my 2nd child out of wedlock and inside I’m not so happy about it. I mean she nor her brother were accidents since their father and I planned my pregnancies but reality can set in and hit you like a ton of bricks.”

We hope that the family is in a better state nowadays!
