NFL Network Ranks Tom Brady Just Sixth on Top 100 Players List of 2019

Tom Brady is preparing to start his 20th season in the league this year. He will be 42 in two days, which makes it even more impressive that he continues to play such a physical sport. In February of this year, he led his team to another Super Bowl victory, making this his sixth overall title.

The only thing that concerned Brady fans a bit was the fact he didn’t put up very good numbers. Because of this fact alone, the NFL Network decided to rank him sixth on the list of the top 100 players entering the new season.

This is the first time in history that Brady doesn’t rank in the top 5 but he will be right back this season to prove to everyone he deserves to be the best. The only other quarterbacks to receive a higher rank were Drew Brees and Patrick Mahomes. When talking about him, Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller explained:

“He’s never gotten away from the fundamentals, he’s never gotten away from technique. He’s able to push his teammates to play at a level they wouldn’t know to play at. That’s why he’s the GOAT.”

Pro Football Focus ranked him in the first place on the list of top 10 quarterbacks ranking entering the 2019 NFL season. Their explanation was:

“Even at 41 years old, Brady turned in an elite 90.6 overall grade in 2018, making it the fourth consecutive season he’s earned an overall grade of 90.0-plus. His passing grade on passes with a step of separation over the last three years leads all qualifying signal-callers, and his passing grade on tight-window throws ranks fourth on the list. Surprising no one, Brady also earned a starting role on PFF’s 2018 NFL Clutch Team for his efforts in one-score games this past season.”

Brady has been impressive throughout his career in the NFL. There is a reason why everyone calls him the greatest of all time.
