Report: Anthony Davis To Join LeBron James in Space Jam 2 And More

LeBron James is much more than an ordinary basketball player. He is greatly considered the greatest basketball player of all time, but that is not nearly close to all that he is. He is a businessman, entrepreneur, a movie star that has lent his voice for an animated movie. James is about to hit the big screen with his latest project.

Throughout his career, LeBron James has been compared to Michael Jordan. Even though Jordan is no longer playing in the league, the similarities in his and James’ careers have kept the comparison alive. But there is another thing that connects these two players – being the lead role in Space Jam. While Jordan was the lead role in the first part that premiered years ago, James will be the lead role in the reboot that is yet to premiere.

In a recent interview, James talked about Space Jam 2, the sequel to Michael Jordan’s crossover 1996 film. The movie is expected to start shooting this summer. There were some reports recently that said James had trouble getting top NBA players to join him for the project. But it looks like things are starting to turn around as the Athletic’s Shams Charania just reported that Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard and Klay Thompson will be in the movie, along with WNBA stars Diana Taurasi, Chiney Ogwumike and Nneka Ogwumike.

This kind of development was not expected after the reports that James had been struggling to convince other stars to join. When a role was offered to Giannis Antetokounmpo, he turned it down just like several other players before him.

With Davis on board the Lakers ship, James will have at least one of the mentioned players to join him for this movie. Davis is going to the Lakers thanks to a trade that happened only a week back. We can’t wait to see him alongside James on the court and the big screen as well.
