Patriots Rumors: Tom Brady Hinting at Retirement In One of His Latest Instagram Posts

At the age of 41, Tom Brady is one of the oldest active professional athletes in any sports. He is expected to play his 20th season in the NFL later this year ever though he will turn 42 before the season starts. When asked when he plans to retire, Brady has been saying that he hopes to be able to play at least to the age of 45.

However, Brady shocked fans when he posted a photo with a curious caption on social media. The photo from this year’s minicamp had the caption: “Treat my first like my last, and my last like my first!”

Since there has not been an official announcement if Brady plans to retire after the 2019/2020 season, we don’t think that the caption was supposed to hint at retirement. When reporters asked him about his coming back for another season earlier this year, he explained:

“I absolutely believe I will, I know I’ve talked about it for a long time. I have goals to not only play next year, but beyond that. And I’m going to try to do it as best I possibly can. I’m going to give it everything I have, like I always have. It will certainly be a challenge. I don’t take any of these things for granted, but I hope I can keep playing, and I hope I can keep playing at a championship level.”

Brady is currently taking part in the team’s minicamp. According to newly signed tight end Benjamin Watson, the famous quarterback is still in an amazing shape. Watson told reporters:

“If that’s old, I want to be old. Man, he’s still at the top of his game. It’s a credit to him, his hard work. We all knew that 10 years ago when I was here. He hasn’t changed. He still has the same energy. Guys still look up to him and follow his lead.”

We can’t wait to see Brady back on the field!
