New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski announced his retirement from the league earlier this year. He spent his entire career with the Patriots, winning three Super Bowl rings during his tenure with them.
While Gronkowski was playing in the league we learned something about him – he is a party animal that likes to party even when he doesn’t have a reason to. However, this week he has quite a big reason to party – he is celebrating his 30th birthday!
As a way to wish their former player a happy birthday, the league put together a pretty epic montage of his career highlights, featuring touchdowns, Gronk Spikes, stiff-arms, somersaults, broken tackles, shoestring catches, and throwing defenders out of the club. Take a look at this amazing video:
On the other hand, the New England Patriots posted this hilarious video of Gronkowski:
Even though it’s been only a couple of months since he retired, Gronkowski has already filled the headlines with reports about a possible return. When reporters asked him if he is considering maybe making a comeback, he explained:
“Yes, I’ve gotten that question many times. I mess with people, I say fake retired just to have fun with people. I say I’m coming back next week, but yes I’m actually retired, but I like to mess around. You never know. If you mess around that much about it I may convince myself, but I don’t know. I kind of like it right now. I’m resting recovering, feeling good, so it’s all going good.”
Gronkowski is only 30 years old, so if he decides to make a comeback sometime in the next few years, he can surely do that. Given that he was the best tight end on the Patriots roster, the team could really use his talent on the field to bring home another championship win.
