Julian Edelman and Marcus Cannon Helped Welcome a New Chapter For a New England Business

This has been a busy offseason for some New England Patriots players. According to recent reports, Julian Edelman and Marcus Cannon helped welcome a new chapter for a New England business.

Ocean Spray recently opened “Lighthouse,” a marketing and innovation hub dedicated to supporting breast cancer research, stated a press release. The hub was opened two days ago in Boston, and Julian and Marcus made an appearance at the opening event.

They also had the chance to talk to President and CEO of Ocean Spray Bobby Chacko and Mayor of Boston Marty Walsh. Chacko later told reporters more about his company. He explained:

“Our innovation at the Lighthouse is focused on health and wellness, with the ultimate destination of creating food that is medicine. We plan to break down silos, drive health and prosperity, and prove the concept of doing well by doing good. We are proud of opening our Lighthouse as a big step toward our mission.”

This has been an especially busy period for Edeman. Just last week, he announced that he would be graduating college. In his Twitter post, he wrote: “This Saturday, I will be walking with my fellow Kent State graduates. Completing what I started back in 06. I want to set a great example for my daughter and complete a promise I made to my parents over 10 years ago. To my fellow Golden Flash graduates, Congratulations!”

This is just one of the big accomplishments Edelman has had this year. A couple of months back, he was named Super Bowl MVP after he helped his team win their sixth title. He said:

“It’s an absolute honor to get this award, but honestly I’m just so proud of the group of guys that we had this year. With the ups and downs that we all had, the ebbs and flows of the season, when you play a whole year you see how the team shapes up, and to see how this team grinded and worked each week, when things weren’t at their best, to constantly try and improve shows what a group of guys it was.”

There was no other player more deserving of this award than Edelman!
