How ‘Ugly Duckling’ Gisele Bundchen Was Taunted by Classroom Bullies For Being Gangly

If you look at Gisele Bundchen, everything about her seems perfect. She is a gorgeous woman who made a name for herself by walking the runways for some of the biggest names in fashion. Even though she is already retired from the runway, we can honestly say she is still one of the most successful models in the history of the fashion industry.

But according to her own statements, Gisele was not always considered the best looking person in the world. When she was a young girl, she faced harsh criticism and rejection. She recently told reporters:

“My career was never based on pretty. In the beginning, you know, everyone told me, ‘Your eyes are too small, the nose is too big, you can never be on a magazine cover.’ But, you know what? The big nose is coming with a big personality.”

She explained that she turned to her family for advice:

“It wasn’t easy to be 14 and hear that kind of criticism. It made me feel insecure. At that point I felt, if I kept working hard and giving my best, it would all work out.”

And when it comes to her first kiss, Gisele explained that it was a cruel dare dreamed up by the three boys, to find out who would kiss the ugly duckling:

“That kiss was the most special thing of my life. It was just once, but after that kiss, I dreamed only about him. I couldn’t think about any other boy.”

From being called the ugly duckling to being considered the most gorgeous woman alive. Now, she is married to the greatest quarterback of all time, Tom Brady, with who she has two children. She is also stepmother to Brady’s son from his previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan.

You see, hard work and love towards what you do will make everything possible.
