New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady won his sixth Super Bowl trophy earlier this year. Since the end of the season, Brady has spent the majority of his time relaxing with his family, but now it’s time to get back to work.
Earlier this week, Brady went on social media to post a picture with a caption that illustrates his readiness for New England’s upcoming Super Bowl title defense. Take a look:
Earlier this year, the Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams on Super Bowl LIII 13-3, what is now known as the lowest scoring Super Bowl in the history of the league. Following the amazing game, Brady talked to reporters about it and said:
“We been this far and lost, which is really tough. I think we just had a lot of resolves the last couple weeks. I wish we’d played a little bit better on offense, but we won. I can’t believe it.”
After winning his sixth title, many wanted to know if Brady was ready to call it quits. He made it clear that this win didn’t change his plans to keep playing in the league:
“It doesn’t change anything. I can’t wait to just spend some time with my family, my wife, and my kids. I couldn’t do it without their support. It’s just been a great year. I’m so happy for my teammates. This is a dream come true for all of us.”
When he took the stage with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, Brady thanked the fans in Atlanta for making the Patriots feel right at home.
“The support here was like a home game. We could’ve been at Gillette Stadium. I think we might have a parade or something like that on Tuesday.”
We can’t wait to see Brady and the Patriots back on the field next season!
