Watch Tom Brady Persuade Bill Belichick Into Making A Right Call And Kick Super Bowl-Clinching Field Goal

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has been called the greatest mastermind when it comes to the game of football. The well-known coach joined the Patriots back in 2000 and has been their coach ever since. With him, the Patriots have been able to win six Super Bowl rings.

We all know that Belichick is the best coach out there. However, recent reports suggest that sometimes he need some convincing when it comes to making the right call. The Patriots took on the Rams last week at Super Bowl LIII. With two minutes left in the game, New England faced a fourth-and-1 from the Rams’ 24-yard line. Belichick needed to make a call – either they would attempt a field goal or will attempt to get the first down and risk being stopped and giving the ball back to LA with a chance to tie.

A lot of coaches would agree that kicking a field goal is the way to go. However, Tom Brady needed to convince Belichick to make the call. This was shown at a video posted by NFL Films after the game. Take a look:

With that kick, the Patriots put up three more points and ultimately secured the win. In an press conference after the game, Belichick talked about the game and said:

“I’ll start out by saying I’m proud of our football team, coaching staff, this entire organization. These guys worked so hard all year going all the way back to the offseason program in April and just grinding it out day after day. Players would come in, they worked extremely hard. We had our ups and downs over the course of the year. In the biggest moments when we had to play our best football and compete the hardest, they did it. Can’t say enough about them, the coaching staff, Brian Flores and Josh McDaniels, Jerry (Schuplinski) and all the rest of the staff.”

Well done to Belichick and the whole Patriots organization for making history yet again.
