Watch Tom Brady and Julian Edelman Address The Media About Josh Gordon’s Indefinite Suspension

Earlier this week, New England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon announced his departure from the team. A couple of hours after his announcement, the NFL announced it is suspending wide receiver Josh Gordon indefinitely.

As soon as news about this spread, Gordon’s teammates took it to social media to share their support and well wishes for the wide receiver. Among them was Julian Edelman. He went ahead and
changed his Facebook, Twitter and Instagram profile pictures to a photo of the back of Gordon’s jersey. Take a look:

On the other hand, quarterback Tom Brady talked to reporters about the situation. When asked if there was shock when he heard about it he said:

“That’s exactly how I felt, so, I certainly appreciate all his efforts and hard work and, you know, I didn’t have much of a reaction. Just focus on what I need to do. That’s kind of the way it’s been all year.”

This week, the Patriots will play against the Buffalo Bills. A couple of days before the game, Brady told reporter this:

“I have a lot of confidence in the guys that have been in there. Jules (Edelman), Philip (Dorsett), Hoge (Chris Hogan), CP (Cordarrelle Patterson) – they all do a good job. They all have different roles.
There’s a lot of those different types of feelings and emotions over the course of the year. We all have lives that exist outside of this building. There’s a lot of support from everyone and everyone goes through different things throughout the year. We’ve certainly faced our fair share of adversities. I think part of that is mental toughness and when you actually go out on the field and in meetings and so forth, you just focus on what you have to do and what your role is, what your job is.
I think we’ve done a good job of that. We’re just working through the week and realizing obviously it’s a huge game, a big opportunity for us and it’s one that we’ve got to win, so we’ve been talking about that all week.”

We hope that Gordon feels better in no time!
